Sadly, I am announcing the end of playgroup. I don't really know what the reasons are, but it seems that playgroup has fallen down the priority list for most of us. So, as a result, playgroup is officially over. :(

New Fall Schedule

Since I have not received a great deal of feedback on playgroup times and locations, I am going to revise our schedule. I think it would be good if we could try meeting every other week. One week we will meet on Thursday at 10:00 and two weeks later we will meet on Wednesday for lunch at 11:00. That way, we can (hopefully) include everyone. So...here's the new plan:

September 14th (10:00) - Jennifer M's house
September 27th (11:00) - Burger King on Russell
October 12th (10:00) - Somebody's House (volunteer needed)
October 25th (11:00) - McDonald's on Hwy 96
November 9th (10:00) - Briarcliff Park
November 22nd - skip for Thanksgiving Holidays
November 29th (11:00) - Chick-fil-A on Watson
December 14th (11:00) - DJ's Galaxy Quest (last of the year)

August/September Playgroup

August 31 - Chick-fil-A on Watson (11:00)
September 7 - Somebody's House
September 14th - Somebody's House
September 21st - Somebody's House
September 28th - Eat Out

If you would like to volunteer your house/apartment, please leave a comment to this post and let me know which date you would like.

If anybody has any suggestions for where to eat the the end of September, leave a comment.

We'll see how this month goes being mostly at people's houses and then decide what to do from there.

in the meantime

Well, it seems that there really isn't a good solution to our problem. I'm thinking that we'll just keep going on Thursdays. I know that will leave out Hannah and Caleb, but maybe their Mommies will keep coming! After all, Jennifer already has a new little one and Beth will soon!

At any rate, I am not going to be able to plan anything for the next couple weeks. So...if somebody wants to post something they would like to do, that would be great! Otherwise, just keep checking back for me to get back into the swing of things.

As always, please feel free to let others on the board know about anything you would like to do. If you know of something special going on that you are taking you child(ren) to, let the rest of us know. We may want to do it as well! Also, if you know of any good sales or events that we may want to check out (like the Thomas train thing, Beth), please put up that information as well.

Let's use this blog as a sharing point...not just a playgroup info sight!

do you want to keep going?

After talking to several of you over the last week or so, I think we have a new question to answer: Do we want to continue with playgroup?

There are a couple of you who are beginning work or are looking for a job. We also have several kids who are starting school who were not previously in school. So...I need to know if you want to keep going. Leave your comments and let me know!! Also, if you are intersted in continuing, let me know what days are best for you.

I'm not going to move ahead with planning anything until I hear from y'all!
